In today’s video Coach Lobes shows the helicopter armbar drill. This drill has helped me improve my guard, guard retention, and armbars. Obviously my armbars from guard have gotten better thanks to this drill but even more importantly I worked on my hip movement. As I mentioned earlier in my post “Who Says Size Matters Pt 2” hip movement is a big part of my game. Having solid hip movement has helped me attack and escape from positions where I previously was neutralized. As Chubbs from Happy Gilmore once said….It’s all in the hips.
